Moinian Group finishes $2.4M multi-floor rehab of resi building in FiDi

The Moinian Group, on March 29, formally completed a $2.4 million rehabilitation of several floors of a residential building at 2 Washington Street, referred to as Two Washington Street, in the Financial District.

The developer was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for a $28 million project to convert the building from office use to a hotel and residential building in July of last year.

The plans, pre-filed on July 18, 2018, call for a rehab of floors one, three though 15, the cellar and the roof of the 380-foot tall, 31-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: removal and installation of new sprinkler system and modification to existing standpipe system, as per plans. No change in occupancy, use or egress. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $2,377,000.
