Mitsui Fudosan finishes $13.4M build-out in Midtown West
Mitsui Fudosan, on May 20, formally completed a $13.4 million build-out of two floors for DLA Piper at 1251 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown West.
The law firm occupies several floors in the building. In 2016 the company signed a new deal with Mitsui Fudosan to occupy 200,000-square-feet of space on five full consecutive floors, the 24th through the 28th.
The plans, pre-filed on February 8, 2019, call for work on floors 27 and 28 of the 733-foot tall, 54-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: minor demolition with installation of new partitions, doors, suspended ceilings and finishes on the 27th and 28th floors (DLA Piper- package D) as per plans. no change to use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $13,450,000.
Spector Group was the architect.
Earlier this year the developer completed a $6.3 million build-out for tenant Piper Sandler at the building.
