Brookfield finishes $11.1M build-out in Fort Greene

Brookfield Properties, on May 20, formally completed an $11.1 million build-out for National Grid at 2 Hanson Place in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

The multinational electricity and gas utility company signed a 15-year, 87,000-square-foot lease at the building last year.

The plans, pre-filed on May 21, 2020, call for work on floors 11 and 12 of the 210-foot tall, 14-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: interior demolition and installation of interior partitions including finishes and ceilings for single tenant space (National Grid) as per plans. All work filed under this applications is interior only. No change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $11,100,000.

According to the developer’s website, 2 Hanson Place is undergoing a series of design enhancements.
