Mayer Gottlieb files plans for 60K sf expansion of community facility building in University Heights

Mayer Gottlieb, on April 5, filed a permit application for a 59,088-square-foot expansion of a community facility building at 2561 University Avenue in University Heights of Bronx. The project will bring the total square footage of the development to 99,463 square feet.

The plans call for the expansion of the existing 69-foot tall, five-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under number X00487889. The full development will span tax lots.

The project is described in the filing as: propose 5 story vertical and horizontal extension along with the renovation of the 5 story existing building.

The estimated job cost is $1,000,000.

The new space will be used for office space, nursing home space, and a cafeteria, per the plans.

The property was acquired with three other properties for $110 million on September 20, 2016.
