Mattone Investors permitted for 123-unit mixed-use building in Williamsburg

Mattone Investors, on November 8, received a permit for the construction of a 123-unit, 97,915-square-foot mixed-use building at 402 Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Christopher Todd filed the plans.

The plans were one of 43 new building plans filed in Williamsburg last year.

The plans, pre-filed on August 11, 2020, call for the construction of an 85-foot tall, eight-story mixed-use building.

The project is described in the filings as: new eight-story mixed-use HPD building to be constructed as per plans filed.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential entrance and lobby, retail space, and 7,535 square feet of parking space. The second floor will have an exercise room, recreation room, and 15 dwelling units. Floors three through six will each have 19 units, and the seventh and eighth floors will each have 16 units. The roof will add additional recreation space.

The property was acquired for $19 million on August 25, 2020.
