Bruchy Lefkowitz permitted for 90-unit mixed-use building in Fort Greene

Bruchy Lefkowitz, on November 5, was given a permit for construction of a 90-unit, 71,721-square-foot mixed-use building at 58 Vanderbilt Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

The plans were one of six new building plans filed in the neighborhood in 2019, calling for the construction of the second most dwelling units in Fort Greene that year. Three new building plans were filed in the neighborhood last year, the largest of which called for the construction of 609 dwelling units. There have already been plans for eight new building in the neighborhood so far this year.

The plans, pre-filed on November 12, 2019, call for the construction of a 107-foot tall, nine-story mixed-use building.

Renderings for the plans were released last year.

The project is described in the filings as: proposing a nine-story mixed-use building – 90 dwelling units.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have retail space, office space, a lobby, and a day care. The second floor will have a health care office and parking for 26 cars. the third floor will have 10 dwelling units and indoor and outdoor recreation space. Floors four through seven will each have 15 dwelling units per floor, while floors eight and nine will each have 10 dwelling units per floor. The roof will have recreation space. The cellar will have parking for eight cars and office space.
