Matrix Development Group files plans for $7M renovation of Staten Island warehouse

Matrix Development Group, on March 23, filed a permit application for a $7.3 million renovation of a storage building at 566 Gulf Avenue in Staten Island.

The plans call for a renovation of the 46-foot tall, 1-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: installation of non-load bearing partitions as per plans filed herewith. no change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $7,300,000.

The storage building is located in a vast stretch of wetlands, 252 acres of which has been preserved in its natural habitat. The building sits on 330 acres of the wetlands which have been set aside for developments. The application for the building was filed in May of 2016, where Marguelies Hoelzli Architecture was listed as the architect.
