Marriott finishes $16.8M multi-floor rehab of Times Square hotel

New York Marriott Marquis, on February 5, formally completed a $16.8 million rehabilitation of several floors of a hotel building at 1535 Broadway in Times Square.

The plans, pre-filed on December 31, 2019, call for a rehab of floors seven through nine of the 574-foot tall, 50-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: removal and installation of interior partitions, ceilings and doors as shown on drawings. No change to use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $16,785,505.

Stonehill Taylor was the architect.

There were 10 A2 rehab plans filed at the building in 2020. None have been filed so far this year.
