Developer planning eight-story commercial building in Greenpoint

Shlomo Karpen, through the company One Wythe LLC, is planning an eight-story commercial and industrial building at 1 Wythe Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The three lots that compose the site total 16,652 square feet of lot area, and is the entire triangle-shaped city block bounded by Wythe Avenue, Banker Street and North 15th Street.

Karpen bought the three parcels in October 2018 for $15.3 million.

The plans were disclosed in an application requesting a zoning special permit pursuant to section 74-962 and 74-963 and a zoning text amendment pursuant to ZR 74-96 to facilitate the building.

The application did not disclose the square footage of the planned development.

No new building plans have been filed yet with the NYC Department of Buildings.

The development will span three lots, per the application.
