Madison Realties files plans for 85-unit mixed-use building in Mott Haven

Madison Realties, on November 16, filed a permit application for construction of a 85-unit, 74,794-square-foot mixed-use building at 188 East 135th Street in Mott Haven, Bronx. Jacob Sofer filed the plans.

According to their website, Madison Realties is a real estate investment company located in Monroe, NY, which specializes in the acquisition and management of properties.

Mordechai Hirsch was the signatory when the property was acquired for $11.2 million on November 30, 2018.

The plans are one of five new building plans which have been filed in the neighborhood in the previous 12 months, according to a PincusCo analysis.

The plans call for the construction of a 109-foot-tall, 10-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number X00627045. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: application filed to erect a new 10-story mixed use development as per plans.

The ground floor of the building will have retail space, per the plans. The second floor will have parking for 93 cars. The third floor will have two recreation spaces and eight dwelling units. Floors four through 10 will each have 11 dwelling units per floor.

The architect listed is Hamish Whitefield Architects P.C..
