Macklowe files for additional work at 432 Park Avenue complex
Macklowe Properties’s agent, on May 14, filed a permit application for $877,421 of work on the second floor of a portion of the complex that includes the residential tower 432 Park Avenue.
The plans call for work on the interior partitions, doors, and ceilings on the second floor of the structure, which is near the residential tower.
The plans are stated as: remove and construct interior partitions, doors and ceilings as shown on drawings filed herewith. no change in use, egress or occupancy. It was not clear if this was work on the structure fronting Park Avenue or the structure fronting 57th Street.
The plans were filed by Sterling Project Development, which is a property manager. Harry Macklowe, who partnered with CIM Group to develop 432 Park Avenue, bought the retail unit in 2016 for $411 million in a joint venture with Qatari investment bank QInvest. In 2018, the auction house Phillips announced it would take space in the Park Avenue Cube.
The work will be done by Gabellini Sheppard Associates.
