55-unit residential building planned for University Heights

Long Guang Lin, on August 12, filed a permit application for construction of a 55-unit, 38,211-square-foot residential building at 2528 Grand Avenue in University Heights, the Bronx.

The plans call for the construction of a 75-foot tall, eight-story residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: new eight-story and cellar apartment building.

The cellar of the building, per the plans, will have an accessory community room for affordable independent residences for seniors. The ground floor will have two market-rate dwelling units and one affordable unit for seniors. Floors two through six will each have four market-rate units and four affordable units for seniors, while the seventh and eighth floors will each have four market rate units and one affordable unit for seniors. The roof will provide an outdoor recreation space and the building will have 10 parking spaces.

The architect is Angelo Ng + Anthony Ng Architects Studio, PC.

The property was acquired for $690,000 on May 15, 2019.
