Sheet metal union files plans for $7.5M rehab of training facility in Jamaica
The Sheet Metal Workers union Local 28, on January 10, filed plans for a $7.5 million rehabilitation of their building at 139-20 Jamaica Avenue in Jamaica, Queens.
Per their website, Local 28 is a sheet metal union that was established in the early 1900s.
The plans call for a renovation of the 26-foot-tall, one-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00654648.
The project is described in the filing as: Renovation to existing training facility. No change to occupancy or use proposed.
