Brause Realty, on January 10, filed a permit application for the demolition of a 6,614-square-foot commercial building at 729 Second Avenue in Murray Hill, Manhattan. David Brause, president of the firm, filed the plans. This is a corner building at the northwest corner of the intersection of 39th Street and Second Avenue.
In the previous 12 months there have been a total of 16 demolition plans, including these plans, filed for buildings located in Murray Hill.
Per the Brause Realty website, the firm specializes in the long-term ownership, management and development of commercial and residential real estate assets.
No new development plans have been filed at the site yet. David Brause did not immediately respond a request for comment regarding Brause Realty’s plans for the parcel.
Back in 2017, the firm filed the plans for an interior demolition of the building.
The plans call for the demolition of a single-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of one story structure, using hand held and mechanical means to assist.
