Chesky Landau files plans to convert industrial building to 22-unit resi building in Williamsburg
Chesky Landau of LC Management, on May 16, filed plans for a project to convert a one-story industrial building to a 22-unit residential building at 303 Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The project will increase the size of the building from 7,500 square feet to 30,146 square feet.
The estimated job cost is currently listed as $4.5 million
The plans call for the change in use and increase in size of the building from a 21-foot tall, one-story industrial building to a 55-foot tall, five-story residential building with 22 dwelling units. This was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00730934.
The project is described in the filing as: proposed conversion of the ground floor from non-conforming use group 16 (semi-industrial) to use group 6 (retail), addition of partial cellar and second floor within existing structure and vertical addition of new floors three through five. New floor areas to be Residential use group 2a and 2b as well as use group 4 in cellar.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will be converted from a warehouse to a residential lobby and retail. The second floor will have 12 dwelling units and terraces. The third floor will have five dwelling units and recreation spaces. The fourth floor will have three dwelling units and the lower levels of two duplex units, while the fifth floor will have terraces and the upper levels of two duplex units. The cellar will have health care space.
