Key City Capital plans mixed-use building at Harry Einhorn-owned parcel in Greenpoint

Key City Capital is planning a mixed-use building at 79 Quay Street in Greenpoint, a property that is owned by Brooklyn-based developer Harry Einhorn.

The mixed-use building will have both residential and commercial space.

The plans were disclosed when Key City Capital, as the primary applicant, filed for a zoning map amendment from M1-2/R6A (MX-8) to M1-4/R7D (MX-8) and a text amendment to map a Mandatory Inclusionary Housing Area (ZR Appendix F) to facilitate the development.

No building plans have been filed with the NYC Department of Buildings yet.

Harry Einhorn closed on a deal to buy 79 Quay Street from Cayuga Capital Management for $16 million back in August of 2016.

Prior to selling, Cayuga Capital had been planning to convert the warehouse that occupied the property to a 61,000-square-foot rental building with 64 apartments, ranging from duplex studios to three-bedrooms.
