Kaushik Patel permitted for 50-key hotel in Tremont

Kaushik Patel, on January 15, was given a permit for construction of a 50-key, 18,135-square-foot hotel at 427 East 188th Street in Tremont.

The plans, pre-filed on August 2, 2019, call for the construction of a 63-foot tall, six-story hotel.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed a six-story with cellar commercial new building for hotel and community facility use.

The building’s cellar will have a breakfast room, exercise room, office, laundry room, and storage space, per the plans. The ground floor will have a hotel lobby. Floors two through six will each have 10 rooms per floor.

S M Tam Architect is listed as the architect.

The property was acquired for $2.2 million on July 23, 2020.

The single-story structure that had previously occupied the property was demolished in November of 2020.
