JPMorgan Chase, on August 3, filed a permit application for a $1.6 million rehabilitation of one floor of an office building, often referred to as 4 Metrotech Center, at 4 Metrotech in Brooklyn. The building has an alternate address of 126 Myrtle Avenue and is part of the MetroTech Center, a business and educational center in Downtown Brooklyn.

The plans call for a renovation of the childcare center located in the basement of the 429-foot tall, 24-story, building, which is owned by the bank.

The project is described in the filings as: interior renovation on basement level (childcare center) as indicated on attached plans. There is no change in egress, use or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $1,628,504.

These are the fourth A2 renovation plans filed at the building this year. On February 11, plans were filed for a $1,681,835 build-out of the 22nd floor.
