Isidore Heimann receives TCO following $1.6M project to double size of residential building in Dumbo

Isidore Heimann, on August 3, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for a $1.6 million project which doubled the size of an existing residential building at 14 Duffield Street in Dumbo.

The plans, pre-filed on April 7, 2017, call for the increase in the size of the building from a 33-foot tall, three-story, three-unit residential building to a 65-foot tall, six-story, building with 12 residential units. The time from pre-file to TCO was three years and four months.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed alteration and three-story vertical enlargement to existing three-story and cellar residential building as per plans. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $1,600,000.

Floors one through three each gained one residential unit, going from one to two, according to the plans. The newly constructed fourth and sixth floors also have two residential units each. The newly constructed fifth floor has one residential unit and the bottom half of second unit, the top half of which is located on the fifth floor mezzanine directly above.

The architect on the filing is WJH Architect.

The property was acquired for $2 million on June 5, 2017.
