Joel Schwartz receives TCO for 22K sf mixed-use building in East New York
Joel Schwartz, on October 30, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 32-unit, 22,975-square-foot mixed-use building at 2437 Pitkin Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn.
The plans, pre-filed on September 27, 2017, call for the construction of an 85-foot tall, eight-story mixed-use building. The time from pre-file to TCO was three years and two months.
The project is described in the filings as: proposed new six-story mixed-use building. However, the building’s Schedule A indicates the building has eight-stories.
The ground floor of the building has retail space, according to the plans. Floors two through seven each have five dwelling units per floor. The eighth floor has two dwelling units, a laundry room, and recreation space.
Diego Aguilera Architects, P.C. was behind the building’s design.
The developer purchased the property for $1.15 million in 2017.
An affordable housing lottery opened for 10 of the units in March.
