Joel Schwartz files plans for 227-unit mixed-use building in East New York

Joel Schwartz under the 2700 Atlantic LLC, on September 14, filed a permit application for construction of a 227-unit, 158,730-square-foot mixed-use building at 2700 Atlantic Avenue in East New York.

The plans call for the construction of a 140-foot tall, 14-story mixed-use building.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed a new 14-story + cellar mixed-use building.

Schwartz has been extremely active over the past year with development, acquisitions and refinancing.

These new plans indicate the cellar of the building will have a laundry room, while the ground floor will be split between retail, a parking area, and two dwelling units. The second floor will provide an additional parking area. Floor three through 10 will each have 20 dwelling units. Floors 11 and 12 will each have 19 dwelling units, the 13th floor will have 15 dwelling units, and the 14th floor will have 12 dwelling units. Floors 11, 13, and 14 will each have outdoor recreation areas.

The property was acquired for $11.5 million on May 30, 2018.
