Jewish school permitted for new 33K sf building in Kensington

Ephraim Scherman through the private school Bais Brocho D’Karlin Stolin, on June 21, was given a permit for construction of a 33,446-square-foot school building at 4310 10th Avenue in Kensington.

The plans, pre-filed on June 11, 2020, call for the construction of a 72-foot tall, five-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed five-story community facility building filed as a single zoning lot with lot 36.

According o the plans, the ground floor of the building will have classrooms, offices, a conference room, play area, and parking spaces for 14 vehicles. The second floor will have a kitchen and lunchroom. The third and fourth floors will have classrooms and offices as well as a computer room and third floor roof terrace. The fifth floor will have an assembly room with an occupancy of 117 individuals, offices, a library, and storage space.

Walter J. Hollien is listed as the architect.

Demolition plans have not been filed.
