Jack Weiss permitted for 154-unit mixed-use building in Longwood Melrose

Jack Weiss, on April 25, was given a permit for construction of a 154-unit, 116,509-square-foot mixed-use building at 299 East 161st Street in Longwood Melrose, the Bronx.

Both foundation and new building permits were issued.

The plans, pre-filed on March 27, 2020, call for the construction of a 124-foot tall, 13-story mixed-use building.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed new 12-story and cellar mixed-use building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby and commercial space. The second floor will have 14 dwelling units and a terrace. Floors three through 10 will each have 15 dwelling units per floor. The 11th floor will have 10 dwelling units, a game room, and a coworking space. The 12th floor will have 10 dwelling units, a fitness room, and a game room.

The property was acquired for $2.1 million on June 24, 2019.
