J. Pilla Group files plans for a 43-unit mixed-use building in Bronxwood

J. Pilla Group, on May 29, filed a permit application for construction of a 43-unit, 45,639-square-foot mixed-use building at 2721 Colden Avenue in Bronxwood.

The plans call for the construction of a 75-foot tall, eight-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: construction of an eight-story mixed use new building in a 17A zone with a C2-3 overlay with 43 apartments (residential use group 2), quality housing and commercial space (use group 6), 49,269 gross square feet.

The ground floor of the building will have one unit in addition to an office and space for two retail stores. Floors two through eight will have six units each and the cellar will have storage and laundry facilities.

The units will most likely be rentals based on the average unit size of 681-square-feet.

Richard Vitto of OCV Architects is listed as the architect on the filing.

Demolition plans were filed in October of last year for the garage on the property.

The property was acquired for $9 million on January 2, 2015.
