InSite Property files two demo plans at College Point site with plans for 72K sf storage building

InSite Property, on August 3, filed two permit applications for the demolition of two buildings at 131-21 14th Avenue and 131-01 14th Avenue in College Point, Queens.

The developer recently purchased the development site for $15.2 million from Safeguard Self Storage. InSite then signed a construction loan with lender Valley National Bank valued at $33.8 million.

There are active new building plans at the site, filed on March 19, 2019. The plans call for the construction of a 30-foot tall, two-story, 72,048-square-foot storage building. The plans were approved in the early fall of 2019 but have not received permits yet.

The first demo plans call for the demolition of a one-story building at 131-21 14th Avenue.

The project is described in the filings as: filing herewith demolition of one story existing building.
