Blackstone files demo plans for commercial building in Springfield Gardens with no NB plans
The private equity conglomerate Blackstone, on August 4, filed a permit application for the demolition of a commercial building at 150-19 Guy R Brewer Boulevard in Springfield Gardens.
The plans call for the demolition of a two-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of existing two-story commercial building. All exterior walls are independent.
The property was acquired with four other properties for $23.2 million on August 29, 2019. In total, Blackstone purchased 21 warehouse parcels from real estate investment firm TA Realty for $130 million in four separate transactions.
No new building plans have been filed at the site yet. The four sites purchased in the $23.2 million transaction were 149-40 182nd Street, 179-02 150th Avenue, 179-11 150th Road, and 150-19 Guy R Brewer Blvd. Together, the parcels have total development potential of 103,462 square feet.
