InSite files plans for 81K sf storage building in Gowanus
InSite, on March 23, filed a permit application for construction of a 81,066-square-foot building at 88 9th Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Elias Slaiby, director of east coast development, filed the plans.
There have been 37 new building planned in Gowanus in the previous 12 months. There are the first storage plans filed during the span.
The development has an estimated job cost of $25,519,800.
The plans call for the construction of a 57-foot-tall, five-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00690939. the development site spans one tax lot.
The project is described in the filing as: erect five-story new building.
All five of the floors will be used for self-storage space, per the plans.
The architect listed is Tao.
The property was acquired for $6.5 million on October 2, 2020.
