IMPACCT Brooklyn permitted for 64-unit senior housing building in Bed-Stuy
IMPACCT Brooklyn, on September 10, was given a permit for construction of a 64-unit, 34,000-square-foot residential building at 811 Lexington Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Bernell K. Grier, executive director at IMPACCT Brooklyn, filed the plans.
IMPACCT Brooklyn is a community development corporation focussed in Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Bedford Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, and Prospect Heights.
The development is in collaboration with the Northeastern Conference of Seventh Day Adventists, which owns the property.
The plans, pre-filed on November 21, 2018, call for the construction of a 55-foot-tall, four-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: propose new four-story and cellar affordable independent residences for seniors (AIRS). Obtain new certificate of occupancy.
According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby and seven dwelling units. Floors two through four will each have 19 dwelling units per floor. The roof will have recreation space and the cellar will have a lobby, offices and more recreation space.
