HPD files plans for a 71-unit rental building in East New York
New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development, on April 28, filed a permit application for construction of a 59,592-square-foot building at 282 Hinsdale Street.
The plans call for the construction of an 82-foot tall, 8-story, 71-unit building.
The project is described in the filings as: construct new eight-story building as per plans filed.
According to the plans, the proposed building will have a community room, office, and accessory tenant courtyard in the cellar. The ground floor will have support space, a community room, and four dwelling units. Floors three through six will have 11 dwelling units each, while floors seven and eight will have six dwelling units each.
Mark E. Ginsberg of Curtis + Ginsberg Architects is listed as the architect for the development.
In November of 2015, HDP filed plans for a 7-story, 81,435-square-feet, 62-unit residential building at 453 Hinsdale Street. The plans called for retail space and a community facility on the ground floor. The architect behind the project was Magnusson Architecture & Planning.
