Help USA receives TCO for 84-unit resi building in Tremont

The affordable housing nonprofit Help USA, on December 16, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 84-unit, 66,985-square-foot residential building at 775 Crotona Park North in Tremont, the Bronx.

The plans, pre-filed on December 19, 2016, call for the construction of a 74-foot tall, seven-story building. The time from pre-file to TCO was four years.

The project is described in the filings as: application filed for new seven-story building as per filed herewith.

The ground floor of the building has offices, a lounge, community facility and residential lobbies, meeting rooms, storage space, and one dwelling room. The second floor has 14 dwelling units and a terrace, floors three through six each have 15 dwelling units per floor, while the seventh floor has nine dwelling units, a terrace, laundry, and a community room.

Magnusson Architecture and Planning was the architect in charge of the project.

On September 18, Help USA was given a permit for construction of a 72-unit, 55,402-square-foot building at 1210 Simpson Street in Morrisania. Last month the nonprofit signed a loan agreement with lender Sterling National Bank valued at $27.4 million for the development.
