Hakimian Organization files plans for 136-unit mixed-use building in Times Square

The Hakimian Organization, on January 12, filed a permit application for construction of a 136-unit, 113,000-square-foot mixed-use building at 250 West 49th Street in Times Square, Manhattan. Rex Hakimian, executive director at The Hakimian Organization, filed the plans.

The firm recently sold their hotel condo at 75 Wall Street in Financial District for $84.7 million to the Long Island-based investment company Navika Capital Group.

The plans call for the construction of a 241-foot-tall, 23-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00630979. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: New, multiple dwelling with commercial retail first floor, building.

The architect listed is C3d Architecture PLLC.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby and retail space. Floors two through 15 will each have seven dwelling units per floor, floors 16 though 20 will each have six dwelling units per floor, and floors 21 and 232 will each have four dwelling units per floor. The 23rd floor will have amenity space and the roof will have outdoor recreation space.

Back in October, the developer received a permit for construction of a 346-unit, 286,274-square-foot mixed-use building at 72-01 Queens Boulevard in Elmhurst, Queens.
