GVA Realty files plans for 51-unit mixed-use building in Rego Park
GVA Realty, on June 29, filed a permit application for construction of a 51-unit, 46,999-square-foot mixed-use building at 98-60 Queens Boulevard in Rego Park, Queens.
The property is the site of a historic Jewish funeral home known as Parkside Memorial Chapels. Owners of the funeral home filed plans last year to demolish parts of the structure in preparation of the development. The demolition and redevelopment news generated some backlash from the community.
The plans call for the construction of a 75-foot-tall, seven-story mixed-use and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00510235. The development site spans one tax lot.
According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have commercial space, community space, a residential lobby and one dwelling unit. The second floor will have recreation space and parking for 15 cars. Floors three through seven will each have 10 dwelling units per floor. The cellar will have commercial space and laundry.
The project is described in the filing as: proposed seven-story and cellar mixed-use building.
The architect listed is JFA Architects & Engineers DPC.
Luxury Austin LLC recently submitted a $38,169,600 condominium plan for a development with 60 residential units and three commercial unit at 65-18 Austin Street in the neighborhood. Other new development includes RJ Capital Holdings’ plans to construct a 170-unit, mixed-use building at 98-81 Queens Boulevard, filed last June.
