Guardian Realty files plans for 44K sf office building in Kensington

Guardian Realty, on September 2, filed a permit application for construction of a 44,010-square-foot office building at 15 Parkville Avenue in Kensington, Brooklyn. Isaac Simkowitz, chief operating officer at Guardian, was the owners representative in the filing.

The plans call for the construction of a 82-foot tall, five-story office building.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed new five-story office building.

According to the plans filed the sub-cellar of the building will have a community facility, chapel, and exercise rooms. The cellar of the building will also have a community facility. The ground floor will have a lobby and parking for 83 cars. Floors two through four will be occupied by mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering space. The third, fourth, and fifth floors will also have terraces. The fifth floor will be used for office space.

The architect listed is IMC Architecture.

The property was acquired for $7.3 million on October 3, 2019.

Demolition plans were filed back in January for the one-story building that occupied the property.
