Greenland USA permitted for 682-unit mixed-use building in Prospect Heights, most units in BK since start of 2020
Greenland USA, on May 11, received a permit for construction of a 682-unit, 584,686-square-foot residential building at 698 Atlantic Avenue in Prospect Heights. Hu Gang, president and CEO of Greenland USA, filed the plans.
The plans call for the construction of the most dwelling units in Brooklyn since the start of 2020, and the eigth most dwelling units in the entire city during that same time span.
The plans, pre-filed on May 5, 2020, call for the construction of a 397-foot tall, 41-story mixed-use building.

The project is described in the filings as: erect 41-story new building with cellar.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby and multiple retail spaces. The second floor will have a fitness room. Floors four through 16 will each have 26 dwelling units per floor. The 17th floor will have a terrace. Floors 18 through 27 will each have 18 dwelling units per floor, floors 28 through 39 will each have 13 dwelling units per floor, and the 40th floor will have eight dwelling units. Several of the units will have terraces.
The property was acquired for $5.5 million on December 29, 2011.
