Gilbane finishes $16.8M multi-floor rehab of rental in Twin Parks West complex in Fordham
Gilbane Development Company, on March 24, formally completed a $16.8 million rehabilitation of several floors of a building at 353 Ford Street in Fordham, the Bronx. The property has an alternate address of 2244 Tiebout Avenue.
The building is part of the New York City Housing Authority’s Twin Parks West project, which was developed in partnership with the Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
In 2018, Gilbane Development Company signed a $49.1 million, 99-year lease for two sites in the complex at 2251 Webster Avenue and 2244 Tiebout Avenue.
The plans, pre-filed on September 12, 2018, call for a rehab of the cellar and floors one through 15 of the 110-foot tall, 15-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: interior renovation of existing building, replacement of kitchen and bathroom fixtures, new finishes and replace windows. No change in use, egress, or occupancy under this application The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $16,750,000.
