Fuhao Yang files plans for 26-unit residential building in Astoria

Fuhao Yang through the company 2008 Steinway LLC, on August 5, filed a permit application for construction of a 26-unit, 19,374-square-foot residential building at 20-08 Steinway Street in Astoria. The property has an alternate address of 20-18 Steinway Street.

The plans call for the construction of a 45-foot tall, four-story residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: four-story new building.

The ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby, recreation space, and six dwelling units, per the plans. Floors two and three will each have eight units, while the fourth floor will have four units. The cellar will provide 18 parking spaces and the building will have 721-square-feet of recreation space outside.

The property, located between 20th Avenue and 20th Road, is near the Ditmars Boulevard subway station, serviced by the N and W trains.

Lu Ning Architecture is the architect listed on the filing.

Demolition plans were filed by the developer on June 18, 2019. They were permitted last month on July 15, 2020.
