Frank Russo permitted for 54-unit mixed-use building in Douglaston
Frank Russo, on September 28, was given a permit for construction of a 54-unit, 56,539-square-foot residential building at 44-36 Douglaston Parkway in Douglaston, Queens.
The plans were one of seven new building plans filed in the neighborhood last year. So far this year there have been four new building plans filed. These new building plans called for the construction of the most residential dwelling units in the neighborhood since the start of last year.
The plans, pre-filed on June 5, 2020, call for the construction of a 67-foot tall, six-story, 56,539-square-foot residential building with 54 residential units.
The project is described in the filings as: new six-story building with cellar and sub-cellar; 54-unit, mixed-use building as per ‘quality housing’ provisions, Class ‘A’ multiple dwelling.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby, health care facilities, and parking space. Floors two through four will each have three affordable residencies for seniors and eight dwelling units. Floors two and four will also have recreation spaces. The fifth floor will have four affordable residencies for seniors and seven dwelling units, while the sixth floor will have three affordable residencies for seniors and seven dwelling units, along with recreation space. The roof will have recreation space and the cellar will have commercial retail space and parking.
