Foremost Real Estate files plans to build 34K sf shelter facility in Parkchester

Foremost Real Estate, on August 18, filed a permit application for construction of an 18-unit, 34,375-square-foot hotel building at 1374 Blondell Avenue in Parkchester.

The plans call for the construction of a 44-foot tall, three-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: a new three-story building for a transient shelter facility and a health care clinic.

The building will have a health care clinic and offices for social service on the ground floor, according to the plans. The ground floor will also have a dining area, kitchen, and lobby. Floors two and three will each have nine units as well as a social service office, recreation room, and laundry room.

Andrew Knox of Edelman Sultan Knox Wood Architects is listed as the architect.

No demolition plans have been filed yet.

An estimated completion date has not been announced.
