Fetner Properties files plans for two demos in UWS ahead of 171-unit mixed-use development

Fetner Properties, on August 5, filed two permit applications for the demolition of two buildings at 268 West 96th Street and 270 West 96th Street in the Upper West Side neighborhood of Manhattan.

The plans come five months after the developer filed plans to construct a 235-foot tall, 23-story, 124,591-square-foot mixed-use building with 171 dwelling units at the site.

PincusCo first reported in 2019 that Fetner planned to build the tower, which is to have micro units as well as 68 affordable units.

The first plans call for the demolition of a two-story commercial building at 268 West 96th Street.

The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of two-story structure, using hand held and mechanical means to assist for debris removal, back-fill site. Foundations to remain.
