FedEx files plans for construction of a 159K sf warehouse in Maspeth
FedEx filed a permit application for construction of a 158,784-square-foot warehouse at 55-90 48th Street in Maspeth, Queens. Paul Pastore filed the plans.
The plans call for the construction of a 48-foot-tall, two-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00538865. The development site spans one tax lot.
The project is described in the filing as: new two-story building with parking garage.
According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a warehouse, office, and workshop. The first floor mezzanine will have office space and a lounge. The second floor will have a parking garage and security office.
In June FedEx filed demolition plans for a single-story structure on the property.
In February of 2017 the developer filed new building plans at the site calling for the construction of a 72-foot tall, five-story, 121,120-square-foot garage. According to the plans, floors two through five of the building would each have 48 parking spaces per floor. The plans were disapproved that same year and then eventually withdrawn.
The architect listed is BL Companies.
