Civic Builders files plans for 31K sf charter school in East New York

Civic Builders filed a permit application for construction of a 31,925-square-foot school building at 2390 Pitkin Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Leonard Dymond filed the plans.

The plans call for the construction of a 56-foot-tall, four-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00557447. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: it is proposed to erect a new four-story charter school as shown on plans.

According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a cafeteria, kitchen, office space, and a lobby. Floors two through four will be used for classroom and office space.

The architect listed is Marvel Architects PLLC.

Earlier this year, Civic Builders paid a bankrupted entity of Chaskiel Strulovitch $11.5 million for 720 Livonia Avenue, also located in East New York.

Other recent filings in the neighborhood include Apex Building Group’s plans for a 64-foot tall, six-story, 123-unit, 107,814-square-foot residential building at 11655 Seaview Avenue and L+M Development Partners’ plans for a 161-foot tall, 15-story, 437-unit, 386,362-square-foot mixed-use building at 888 Fountain Avenue.
