Extell files plans $17.1M project at under-construction hotel in Diamond District
Extell Development, on February 17, filed plans for a $17.1 million project at an under-construction hotel building at 32 West 48th Street in Diamond District, Manhattan.
Back in 2020, the developer filed a permit application for construction of a 534-key, 168,897-square-foot hotel building at 32 West 48th Street in Midtown West. The plans received a permitted for construction in October of 2021.
The plans call for structural work related to the construction of the 33-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00458242.
The project is described in the filing as: structural work filed in conjunction with new building 121208987.
The property was acquired for $40 million on October 26, 2018. In February of 2020, Extell sold one of the parcels in the assemblage, located at 25 West 47th Street, for $9.5 million.
