Extell files demo plans for 1710 Broadway to clear way for 670-key hotel
Extell Development, on May 18, filed a permit application for the demolition of a building at 1710 Broadway in Midtown West.
The plans call for the demolition of a six-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of six-story structure using hand held and mechanical means to assist.
Gary Barnett’s Extell Development is planning to construct a 670-key, 242,759-square-foot, mixed-use hotel building at the site.
According to the plans, the building will also have retail and restaurant space.
In November of 2020, the developer completed the demolition of a 25,248-square-foot building at 201 West 54th Street, where Extell is planning to construct a 400-key, 208,962-square-foot mixed-use hotel.
