Empire State Realty Trust finishes $11.8M multi-floor rehab of office space at 1400 Broadway

Empire State Realty Trust, on April 13, formally completed an $11.8 million rehabilitation of several floors of an office building at 1400 Broadway in the Garment District.

The plans, pre-filed on August 1, 2019, call for a rehab of floors six, seven, 26, and 27 of the 360-foot tall, 36-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: general construction modifications taking place on the 6-7, 26-27 floor as indicated on the drawings. No change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $11,800,500.

Huntsman Architectural Group is listed as the architect.

Tenants, per the landlord of the building, include Interpublic Group of Companies, OnDeck Capital, Mott MacDonald, Fragomen, and the corporate executive offices of Burlington Coat Factory and Kohl’s.

A $5.7 million rehab of several additional floors was completed at the building in January.
