EJS Group files plans for demolition of recently purchased Lenox Hill assemblage

EJS Group, through its project development arm EJS Development, on May 20, filed three permit applications for the demolition of three rental buildings at 1305 Third Avenue, 1307 Third Avenue, and 202 East 75th Street in Lenox Hill.

The firm, which was founded by Ted Segal, purchased the parcels in three separate transactions from Gastonia Properties for a total of $32.35 million in March.

No new building plans have been filed yet in either BIS Web or DOB Now. It is unclear what the developer plans to do with the site.

The first plans call for the demolition of a five-story building at 1305 Third Avenue.

The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of five-story structure using hand held and mechanical means to assist.

The property was acquired for $12.9 million on March 4, 2021.
