Developer files plans for a 37-unit residential building in East Tremont

A developer, on June 30, filed a permit application for construction of a 37-unit, 27,937-square-foot residential building at 712 East 180th Street in East Tremont, the Bronx.

The plans filed with the Department of Buildings, call for the construction of a 75-foot tall, eight-story residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: application filed to construct an eight-story apartment building.

The ground floor of the building will be used for utility rooms and laundry, as well as two dwelling units, according to the plans. Floors two through eight will each have five dwelling units. The roof will provide 940 square feet of recreation space. The building also will provide 11 outside parking spaces and cellar storage for 20 bicycles.

Gino Longo Architects is listed as the architect on the application.

Demolition plans were filed in May of 2019 for the existing three-story building on the property.
