Plans filed for 15K sf school in Midwood

1504 1596 Ave L LLC, on August 30, filed a permit application for construction of a 14,968-square-foot building at 1504 Avenue L in Midwood, Brooklyn. Abraham Bergman filed the plans.

Eastern Union is a mortgage brokerage who is not typically known for developing buildings.

These are the eighth new building plans filed in the neighborhood this year. Since the start of 2020 this is the second school building filing in the neighborhood.

The plans call for the construction of a 44-foot-tall, four-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00554552. The development site spans two tax lots.

The project is described in the filing as: Proposed new four-story school and accessory uses building.

The ground floor of the building will have a community facility center and a lobby. Floors two through four will all have classroom and office space. The roof will have a play gym.

The architect listed is Kao Hwa Lee Architects Pc.

The estimated job cost is $3,119,800.

The property was acquired with two other properties for $1.9 million on July 7, 2021.
