Durst finishes $2.5M single-floor rehab of office building in Times Square

Durst Organization, on August 4, completed a $2.5 million rehabilitation of one floor of an office building at 1155 Sixth Avenue in Times Square.

The plans, pre-filed on July 30, 2019, call for a rehab of the 12th floor of the 511-foot tall, 40-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: interior renovation of existing office space. No change in use, egress, or occupancy under this application. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $2,539,369.

Gastinger Walker is the architect listed on the filing.

The building has several high profile tenants including Cornell University, Perkins Coie, Verizon, Genpact, South Street Securities, Robert W. Baird & Co, and Knobbe Martens, according to the Durst website.

The developer has filed three A2 renovations at the building so far this year. The largest was a $2,136,000 rehab of the 34th floor of the building, pre-filed in late May.

Earlier this month, Durst completed a $2.8 million rehab of one floor of the Bank of America Tower, at 1 Bryant Park in Midtown.
