Dolly Williams files plans for 80-unit mixed-use building in Gowanus

Dolly Williams, on February 21, filed a permit application for construction of a 80-unit, 82,942-square-foot mixed-use building at 213 Third Avenue in Gowanus, Brooklyn.

Dolly Williams is a member of the company Saira Properties LLC that owns the property. Additionally, Dolly Williams is the CEO and co-founder of A. Williams Construction.

Over the previous 12 months there have been 33 new building plans, including these plans, filed in the neighborhood. Gowanus has been the most active neighborhood in the city for new development over the period.

The plans call for the construction of a 145-foot-tall, 14-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00680247. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: 14-fourteen story mixed-use building with a cellar.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby, recreation space, three retail spaces, and the upper level of the superintendent’s duplex apartment. The second floor will have retail space, recreation space, and three dwelling units. Floors three through 10 will each have seven dwelling units per floor, and floors 11 through 13 will each have five dwelling units per floor. The 14th floor will have three dwelling units and the lower portion of two duplex units, the upper portions of the duplex units will be located on the penthouse level. The cellar will have 10 parking spaces and the lower portion of the superintendent’s duplex apartment.
