Developer permitted for 38-unit mixed-use building in Morrisania

Volvi Hirsch through the company 1169 Hoe LLC, on February 5, was given a permit for construction of a 38-unit, 21,153-square-foot residential building at 1169 Hoe Avenue in Morrisania, the Bronx.

The plans, pre-filed on September 11, 2019, call for the construction of a 75-foot tall, seven-story, 21,153-square-foot residential building with 38 residential units.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed seven-story plus cellar mixed occupancy building.

The ground floor will have a residential lobby, health care facility, and 11 parking spaces. Floors two through six will each have six dwelling units per floor, while the seventh floor will have eight studio apartments and two outdoor recreation spaces.

The property was acquired for $500,000 on February 8, 2019.

Demolition of the two-story structure that had previously occupied the property was completed in in November of 2020.
